Each diorama is a one-of-a-kind, custom-made work of art, numbered and signed by the artist.
The dioramas are created in a scale of 1:72 (25mm). While scale is important, some scenes require creativity in inducing a desired effect. This may result in some spaces of land in larger battles being not quite to scale.
Each plastic figure is hand-painted with great detail and authenticity. The amount of figures on a particular diorama can range from 100 to 1000, depending on the size of the diorama and the battle. This number is also influenced by whether the entire battle is being captured or just a particular scene.
When the decision is made to create a new diorama, a great deal of research and preparation is required. The particular battle is researched in great detail. Brian has an extensive home library that he utilizes in his research. He then travels to the battlefield to survey the land for a better understanding and feel of the battlefield's topography. He videotapes and photographs the battlefield as it stands today, and then compares it to authentic photographs or sketches of the actual battle.

and amount of research required. Typically, a piece could take from two weeks
